Young British actresses...

Bonjour!
So today, I was having a rummage through my DVD collection (ginormously made up of period dramas) when I found myself repeatedly saying aloud "Oh, I love her! Such a good young actress." There are SO many young British actresses about right now that I admire masses of amounts.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

Bonjour!

So, I was doing a little bit of a tidy up yesterday, when I realised my shoes were in such a huge heap of a mess, all chucked in the bottom of my wardrobe. I thought it about time to drag every pair out, put them into groups (or 'shoe genres') and then place them all back in a neat and orderly fashion. After hauling them all out, I was shocked to see how many heels I have! I love heels, but only ever wear them in the evening or for a fancy occasion. I'm pretty tall so never really wear them in the daytime, yet I was shocked to see how outnumbered my flats are! On my 'to do' list is to most definitely invest in some new flat shoes. And boots. If the past few weeks are a forecast for this summer, then my flimsy little sandals definitely won't make the cut.

(This isn't even all of them, how bad is that?!)

Solid perfume...

Thought I’d do a quick little review on a product I have fallen head over heels in love with...
A few weeks ago I took a trip up to Edinburgh, and whilst there I discovered the beautiful vintage/vintage inspired clothing and gift shop ‘Cookie’. I actually tried on a beautiful vintage yellow lace dress, but it was unfortunately too small and in poor condition. However, I did get my little paws on a new floral handmade tote bag which consists of much green, always being a plus with me! But the best thing I bought was a little pot of solid perfume. I’d never heard of it before, and was utterly amazed. We’d flown from London to Edinburgh and had only taken hand luggage, as I usually do when flying, so hadn’t had the luxury of bringing my huge perfume bottle for fear of it not fitting in the tiny plastic bag they allow for liquids. So, as you can imagine, I was delighted to find this little treasure. They had three different scents to choose from, and were all as delicious as each other! This little pot is like a lip balm tin and slips perfectly into any bag or pocket, and that is where it has been since, always on standby for when needed. I am very aware that I have not at all used this blog in the year I have had it, so my not so New Years resolution is to blog, blog, blog!
